rumynski yazik

Tots deien, stamatólag, i no pas stomatológ.

I avui he après a dir-ho en romanès!

This afternoon i went to my first lesson of the romanian course. All the students are russian speakers, except for me, that i speak catalan
Is funny to know that we will have problems in different places, very different places. Today, for example, almost all of them had problems to pronounce "stomatolog". All were saying "stamatólag", and not "stomatológ". Nobody that is reading this right now has any problem to say stomatológ, and is difficult to imagine that can be difficult for someone. Well, it is for them. And of course, i had problems to say învățătoare, because i dont know how to do the î and the ă is not as similar as our catalan schwa as i thought, and is something between a schwa and a "closed e" (close-mid front unrounded vowel, or, if it is easier for you, high-mid front unrounded vowel)

Later, we were talking about at which time should we start the lesson on saturdays. Some said at 10, some later. The teacher said: but not before 10! And the girls know why i'm saying that

Why she was saying that? because they need time to put the make up, and that stuff. For that! At the entrance of every faculty there's a big mirror so they can arrange their hair, boys and girls

Yesterday i learned how to say sweeper in russian. And today i learned how to say it in romanian! A word that usually you dont know how to say in other languages, and i've learned it in two languages in two days in a row. And now in three, that i just looked for the english translation

La revedere! O zi buna!

In the trolleybus, going back home, there is a child eating an orange, and it smells so much that i have the feeling of eating an orange candy
But before, at the bus stop, he put away a wisp of hair from in front of my face, because now my fringe hair is not long enough to hold it behind the ear, but is not short enough to hold it with a clip
But before, i had to take his arm because, even sitting in a bench at the cathedral park, in front of the boards with the newspapers of the day, holding a coffee, he couldnt stop trembling
But before, he explained that when he gained 10 lei per day he could buy, with two lei, bread, with 3 lei, a tea, with 3 lei more, tobacco, and with the other 2 lei, bread for dinner. But that it wasnt always like that, that sometimes he had 10 lei for two weeks
But before, he told me that the 10 lei that he just used to buy two coffees to take away, if it wasnt because i was there, probably he would have spent them on vodka
But before, he said that he went to Polish by foot, and after this to Germany, and then he came back, all by foot, and that a friend of him also went to Kiev by foot
But before, we read the headlines of the boards with the newspapers of the day to see the football results (Barça 3, i dont know who 0)
But before, we went into the cathedral and he made me wear my cap
But before, we greeted an armenian that invited him later to eat pelmenis and that also invited me, and then he found out that the other armenian, the one with the beard, is not dead, that we just saw him, that he is still alive
But before, we went to greet a man that buys bottles, paper, paperboard, and that was interested in the catalan elections from yesterday
But before, we greeted an armenian that was wearing a hat an a black leather coat and that had a beard
But before, he told me that his back was hurting very bad
But before, we went to see the new kilometer 0 that is now in Chisinau and the christmas tree in front of the government building
But before, he was waiting for me at the center and when he saw me he smiled, he hugged me and he raised me on the air
But before, the day before, he called me to say that he couldnt come because he just went out from the hospital
But before, i was waiting for him a lot of time, and i knew that he didnt forget, but that something was happening
But before, i was sitting in the trolleybus, thinking how to say this to him, how to say...

Flors i vorades / Flowers and kerbstones

Avui hem anat a l'USEM (Universitatea de Studii Europene din Moldova) a presentar l'organització on treballo, als alumnes de primer i segon de periodisme. Jo només he estat asseguda i he connectat i desconnectat l'endoll del projector, però a l'estil d'aquests països, a l'acabar la presentació hem rebut bombons i flors. De flors n'hem rebut un ram, que no era per mi, però per aquelles coses me l'he acabat quedant i ara està a l'entrada del pis
El ram no ha estat l'única alegria, també m'he posat contenta perquè avui he viscut aquell moment tan esperat en la vida de tota persona que marxa a viure a l'estranger: ho he entès tot. I sense escoltar atentament, sense tenir mal de cap després. Però és igual, ho he entès i estic molt contenta
També he vist que t'acostumes a tot. A no parlar català. T'acostumes a tot
(al final de tot hi ha la foto d'un gat)

Today we went to the USEM (Universitatea de Studii Europene din Moldova) to present the organization where i work, to the studients of first and second course in the faculty of journalism. I just sit and connected and disconnected the plug of the projector, but following the style of this countries, at the end of the presentation we received chocolates and flowers. We had one bucket of flowers, and it wasnt for me, but somehow i finally kept it and now is at the entrance of the apartment
The bucket wasnt the only moment of happiness, i was also happy because today i lived this waited moment in the life of any person that is leaving abroad: i understood everything. And without listening with atention, without having headache afterwards. I just simply understood the words, they became sentences, i was listening and understanding. It has less merit than it might seem, because i knew what was the topic about, so i could guess what they were saying. But it doesn't matter, i understood and i'm very happy
I also saw that you get use to everything. Yesterday i was playing to walk on the edge of the sidewalk (it is called kerbstone, always learning some word with these translations). You might think that is easy, that you don't need a lot of equilibrium once you are twenty seven years old. But here is not true, because the stones that are part of the kerbstone are irregular, they go up and down, left and right, and if you fall, you don't fall on the pavement, or the sidewalk, you fall on a pile of mud, if you are lucky, or on some pond. At least this is how it is in my neighbourhood. Yesterday i found a cat, sitting on the kerbstone, and while i was approaching him i was saying psst psst! what he was staying. But, with this, i wanted to say that you get use to everything. To not to have light at the shower and light candles every time i want to brush my teeth. To the constant rrrrrrrrr from the fridge. To the sidewalks in bad conditions. To go with troleibus and minibus. To not to speak catalan. To receive flowers and chocolates just because you are sitting on a chair plugging the projector. You get use to everything

Introducció a l'autoestop / for now just in catalan

No ho sé explicar d'altra manera

Vam dormir a Petroșani i a Bacău, i el diumenge al migdia ja érem a Chișinău.

Vam veure tantes coses!
